Disclaimer: This tweak is my "Cup of Tea" and I do not like OP with a zillion torque and superheavy 100'' Tires. XML adaptions only, everything from 'very close to stock' up to nearly 'OP' can be adjusted.
Recommendation: With Poghrims universal addons even the stock addons look like eye candy.
Gameplay: Was wondering what the highway trucks are good for. And then the season 3 gave the P-512 with RWD only and really good 51'' tires. So why not make a predecessor by tuning the pointless 4070A and the CLT9000 in that same direction? Especially as the P-16's playstyle is also 'RWD only' with some nice tires .... so take that concept, add a lot of fuel as these have large tanks (scrapring often the ground) to make them playable as a long range hauler. Still, its made for the more simple hauls as the tires and ground clearance are "not the best" despite these are so much better than Vanilla. Makes fun on maps such as "Highway Hauling" or "Canadian Shield". Forget these on AMUR or Imandra.
Small sized package, very suitable for Consoles and COOP.
International 4070A: 43'' Tires, Autodifflock, HEAVY Tires from P512 available. Standard frame length for Flatbed plus Trailer OR crane plus saddle/trailer. Due to its shorter wheelbase and more chassis-flex in comparison to the CLT, its despite the smaller tires the better one "offroad".
Ford CLT-9000: 46'' Tires, Autodifflock. Long frame for small Crane plus Flatbed plus Trailer (see SD114 and F2070A).
Both get on your call switchable AWD and some OP engines - the International UNISTAR 4090 had AWD, thats same series! If you want to play a bit with old trucks in Michigan and Alaska - take RWD and the medium or heavy tiresets are good enough for every level of difficulty. If you stay with RWD, take the two smaller engines and the HEAVY P512 tires (Name in Mod is HOT/HOT-C) - thats pretty much a predecessor of the P512 with an additional set of chains to make it usable on icy roads as Alaska. I think it looks and feels great there. AWD, superheavy tires (SHOT) and the big engine - thats OP, some like it.
Apropos P512 - have a look at my DLC tweak going to this direction with respect of fuel and intended use. "Vanilla" fuel amount and its center of gravity were a joke for a truck not even having access to AWD. So with these mods you have an RWD US Truck series having nice rear tires being not that pointless any more.
Suggested Setup: For serious gameplay with some skill requirements - take one of the first two engines & the HOT Tire (copy of P512 wheels) - good enough for the first three regions and a lot of fun with style on "Canadian Shield". These trucks are tweaked with Alaska and parts of "Kola Peninsula" as well as not "too demanding" long range hauls in mind. Using the two bigger engines, SHOT Tires (Kolob grade weight times grip) as well as AWD its a truck on the very very easy side of life. By the way, the big fuel tanks still close to the ground and less than 50'' wheels hook up on anything pretty easily.
Addendum: If there is an issue with the tweak, please use Mod.io
Works very well on modmaps as Highway Haulin, Canadian Shield and After the Storm 2

I haven’t been on SR in a couple of days; was this mod updated recently? I went to the truck store and have a GMC tweak, the one that was originally in this pack. Of course I’d love to use it but from what I know they’re not allowed on console? I’d hate to have this removed because it is one of my favorite tweaks.

I moved the GMC 9500 to the pack now in Snowrunner.mod.io to collect "Console forbidden Mods in one Pack".

I am on console… with this mod enabled I have a GMC tweaked vehicle in my truck store. Am I misunderstanding something?

My fault, was removed. Leftover - I have no clue how that came in. Seems a "compile" failed and I uploaded an intermediate version with an older build date where the GMC was only "half way" moved to the new package.

Very odd, but glad it was an easy fix. I want to mention now that the rear log carrier when hooked to the CLT9000 is very low making the rear carrier sit uneven, is that something you could easily fix as well? I’m on console of course so I could not do anything to fix it myself. Thanks 🤘🏼

No. As the truck has not much of a ground clearance. Some trucks simply do not like any addon a dev/modder can mount it onto. So you get a lot of trucks with major quirks, claiming they can do it all... And as long logs have a weight of 12 tons - thats not exactly good for an RWD truck such as the CLT. May work on tarmac, but it would be stopped dead in the first mudpit.
As I updated that truck, I copied the "default" set of addons. and yes, it is worth considering to remove some less meaningful ones.

Yeah that would be fine by me, not that a long log add-on is cluttering it up but it does seem to not have any uses really, appreciate you for keeping these mods up to date. I still need to try your heavy scouts and your new pack that just got added to console Friday; the one with the Royal and couple other trucks.

Any chance of getting a phase 5 update for add-ons?

kittenboners2008 Which addon are you missing?

Updated, haven't seen it as using different custom addons. But: Console updates need to be approved.

Without the "Cheat-AWD" its still a challenge.

It was one of my 1st truck mods used when it come out and still love it today.

Really wish we'd get a AWD version of the Ford CLT9000 on console. Love that truck after doing Highway haulin.

Timberwolf12 Looks like it its now with the subscription numbers.

Timberwolf12 Fun fact: You do not need AWD with the Pacific Rear tires. IMHO. I played that CLT as well as the Transtar 4070A a lot on Canadian Shield. I personally like the 4070A even more, cant say exactly why.

Im not sure i understand...
Why did you make a "console" version of vanilla truck tweak?
Did saber employee specifically told you you have to?

I think the removal of the GMC from this tweak pack is what he means by “console version”. Hopefully the devs can push this one quick cause console is seriously lacking tweaks of the CLT9000. This will be awesome.

Yeah, and I "learned" that GMC/CAT "rule" a fews days after I put the GMC in my first "highway" pack to complete it. So these two true highways would have never a chance to appear on console.
Removing the GMC from my first pack would have caused p1ssed PC players probably losing a GMC and money. So regardless how you do it - you are doing it wrong. I wonder why there could not be a hard filter for consoles with trucks being inappropriate to tweak on these and automatically removing them from any pack with multiple trucks.

oooh,
Now i feel stupid... there is a gmc tweak in the initial mod.
Thank you :)
I completely forget tweaks of vanilla gmc vehicles are not allowed on consoles :(
